See this guide for what you can do about it
keep a note of the weapons used , did they start with a smoke grenade/teargas etc, . If it happens again and the method is the same you have a stalker, so train your stats so they lose, just keep checking your logs, train and wait till their stealth gives out, if you were in a faction you could see what respect they gained, same respect on similar attacks over a couple of days would let you know its the probably the same person.
If this happens a lot you can get someone you know to sit on your page and when an attack is started they can also start a fight and see the person who attacked you.
No need to even start a fight. Just have the attack page open and you will see who joins the attack even if you are not in it yourself. Just like you can see NPCs filling up before you join.
