So i put some points in bank merits. like the one where you get a extra % on bank investments. But it does not show up when i want to make a investment in the bank. How does it work?

Bank merits are applied when you make the investment. If you already have one going then it does not effect the current investment.
You might not see much of a difference with a few merits, but a full 10 will help.

Banking merits will be included in the interest rate. They are not shown separately.
As lohkee said few merits wouldn't warrent much of a change.
And bank interests change at certain periods. So you may see them go up and down.
But don't fret, if you put merits into interest, they will be added accordingly.
