What about a crime based event? 5 categories, player with the highest rank in each category gets 100000 points. 2nd place gets 95000 and everyone after gets fewer and fewer. Add up your points across the categories and see which player has the most. Categories would be: money made, success rate, crimes committed, crime exp gained, times jailed.

You want the first prize to get HOW MANY POINTS?!?!?! Don't get me wrong, I do think it'd be nice if there were a crime based event (there'd have to be different brackets based on your NNB), but 100k points prize is WAAAAAAAAAAY too many.

Not points for the prize, points to keep score. Winning each category would be 100000 towards your overall score. Highest score would be 500000 and then a prize would be awarded based on 1st place.
Ah gotcha, the phrasing was just a little odd was all. I think this could be really good, especially if the prizes are nerve based too. Like if the first 50 places got a keg, first prize is the crime exp book, etc.
Definitely for this!

Crimes definitely doesn't get enough love, but the devs might hesitate with this until Crimes 2.0 is released.
I thought about a crimes based event. If as above, it does limit success to a smaller pool of players. But could have categories for each NNB. (Ie players with 10NNB at the start of the competition are in one category, those with 15 in another). Or have all in the same category but with a weighting applied to those with lower NNB.
as a person who does crimes...i like this but maybe on different mold
points are nerve spent in crimes (which helps the booze market, makes factions specify merits, and some companies benefit from an out-surge of people interested in join temporarily) during the period of the competition. also market point gets bumped for nerve refill.
Add a couple of merits like top 500 players, top crime commuted by one person etc...

I think people should be ranked in the crimes they do, not overall. Otherwise you're going to have a bunch of 60nnb people with max faction perks spamming out "search for cash"
Like a leaderboard for each crime so people can still win by doing the most arson or whatever despite it costing 9x as much nerve as searching for cash.

My thinking was that with the 5 different categories, young people could be successful. Those with more nerve may try to top the CE gained or money made leaderboards, making it harder to place well in crimes committed and success rate. Times jailed could skew to lower nnb as well as it would easier for them to get arrested.
