Dog Tags is a lot of fun....If there was anyway for new leafs to play among themselves, and do a stats (not lvl) 1, 2, and 3 lvl tier comp....it might create more participants. When you have the top dogs only having fun and everyone giving up or not trying.....Its just a bully thing...i.e atmosphere.....Im an old geek...and dodge ball we called slaughter ball. Dog Tags has become NOT fun at all for most of us. Hence the cancel. Just make it evened out a bit....Yall can do it! Im certain of that. Dog Tags is such a cool fun deal.....dag nabbit. Just make it so new people can enjoy and see tags they picked up. Just owning a couple gave me a bit of pride. However to retain them, I have to hospitalize me self to the end. And I understand the philosophy that its my fault that; I didn't start playing 12 years ago or so. Yall that did, get to pound on us all the time. Getting pounded on all the time is why I played D&D with my geek ass Best Friends. For a Heaven. Maybe the community here and the friendship's here, come down to who is here longest and has the most stats......I can't figure out a better way to run people off. i.e MySpace.

People play torn for years.
If they are that new, they would probably appreciate not being peppered with attacks
Otherwise join the next years competition

I dont think Dog Tags has ever been considered fun, more of a grind.
You get your merits one year and then stop usually. The attacks aren't constant as most that get a certain merit do indeed stop taking part in the years after.
The select few that go for top, target other top players generally.
I got my 250 in the last one, and lost tags in mugs so it was confirmed I was taking part to some, but never got spam attacked though as they were low level/point giving tags, and most dont care for them.
Maybe its different for lower/mid level players though.
Either way, I dont think a tier system is needed.

what part of this competition is hard? there are 1.2 million accounts and only 40,000 daily active users, there is no shortage of tags. its spend e to get tags, fly to avoid losing tags, and dont tell anyone you have tags. the only difficult thing about it is that it lasts a month long and can be draining, specially when elims is a month long as well and happens near dog tags.
maybe, if you havent realized, talking about your participation in this specific event to your competition(Literally any and everyone) is not a great idea. you also want to make sure your attacks are stealthed so people cant see that you are attacking, because a good strategy to get tags is going to the hospital and looking for "hosped by xxx" and then attacking xxx.
its a competition between EVERY player on torn. thats a 1 in 1.2 million chance that you get first place. its not meant to be a walk in the park but a little forethought makes it much easier than you think it is.
Elims is where you should be griping. if youre doing good then youre on the first few pages of your team and thats a literal target painted on your back. there is no hiding it when youre doing well. but there too, a little forethought and its not too crazy difficult. my first elims i had 10k stats and got top 3% with ~650 attacks.
Take a chill pill, boston

Got my 250 tags last year, was super easy to achieve on just inactives. If you literally just put the tiniest bit of effort into your planning you can guarantee yourself those merits without having to deal with everyone and their mother coming after you.
I only had 700k stats at the end of Dog Tags, and I got my 250 in just 7 days, and managed to hold onto them too.
03:18:20 - 12/11/20 You were awarded the honor: Departure (Get 250 or more tags in the Dog Tag competition)
There's literally no excuse for anyone if they want to put the work in.

Lots of fun looking for inactive players to steal tags from.
Absolutely a challenge and merit worthy of a true warrior.
Just cant get that tongue out of my cheek though. Would I get a merit for that if it required spending e?

Was actually a lot of fun trying to scrounge around for the few inactives that hadn't been attacked yet, it was busywork.
OP wanted to complain that's it just all about bullying and how people just give up because of the "top dogs". Nobody brought up the fact of the merit being a challenge, especially not me. I brought up the merit specifically because it's not a challenge it's just you being willing to put the work in.
There's plenty of other ways to look for a challenge for yourself in this event anyway, no need to complain that you're not as big and strong as other players, just be smarter with your actions and your time if you're looking to participate.

Dog tags are my thing. Three time defending champion. DUDE DUDE.
Wow.
How utterly boring a claim to boast may be.

If you create different stats brackets then by your logic, the top people in their bracket will still beat up the people near the bottom of the bracket.
100% agreed here. Would love to exchange the dog tag event to be one week and Halloween three. The progression you get with the treats and basket upgrades is great.
Lmao@u again
