Im not sure how stock increments work. If I have a second tier TCT does it pay out 2 mil every month, vice the 1 mil at level 1? If so the payouts for each increment are less than the previous as the size of stock blocks increase at each increment level. Is this correct?

Yes, they payouts remain the same per increment but the stock block cost doubles.

So if you got 100,000 (1 BB) shares of TCT at $23.44m, the second block is of 200,000 shares will cost you double that is ~47 m. Simply put, you get 1m every block you own but the cost doubles every time. So first time, you buy 100,000, second 200,000 and then 400,000 shares for the 3 increment and so on.

Thanks Clamp. So the ROI of each increment is half of the previous. Not much of an incentive to pursue increment increases as investment returns only get worse.

Technically, yeah.
I guess it’s for players who have plenty of spare cash with nowhere to put it. 3-4 increments of 80m (CNC) or FHCs isn’t bad for rich players.

There are only so many places where you could keep your billions. Banks and Vaults max after a few billion, no point leaving it in companies/faction vault either.

free passive income is FREE passive income.....

so yeah, if it take a few extra shares to get the extra dividend, or items, but you have the available cash lying around doing nothing

something is ALWAYS better than nothing

For those with billions lying around this is true. For those of us beginning in the SM we will need to evaluate the ROI for all stocks at multiple increments to find the ones with the best dividend returns. I’ve seen several spreadsheets from others doing this.
