I have 3 questions about revives:

Can the healer revive someone that's in another country without leaving torn, or is that just supplemental income for when they're traveling anyway?

Is it really that profitable? Of course, I don't really know anything about it, but it seems to me (from the little I've heard) that you give out a LOT of free revives to get good enough to rely on it as income, and they cost a lot of energy.

Speaking of free revives, how do you even get them to practice? Whenever I OD, I almost always immediately get revived, so I picture it from the healer's point of view as kind of the same situation as getting beer in the city, if that makes sense.

Basically, these are the questions that are putting me off of the idea of being a healer. (OK, the first is just curiosity.)
As always, thank you in advance.

1) You need to be in the same location as someone to revive them
2) As a lone reviver, it is a gamble if you get a gratitude payment from your revives, you can expect $1m or a Xanax but only about 25% of people will send you anything.
3) To practice you just visit the hospital a lot and revive people as they come in

The way that reviving becomes profitable is by joining a reviver faction and take part in their contracts (warring factions pay reviver factions to keep them out of hospital during a war)

Reviving factions will also have perks to lower the energy needed to make a revive.

Being in a revive faction is a must for a serious reviver. 25e/revive versus 45e/revive is a huge difference, plus you have access to bulk revive contracts which is where most money is made these days. Take it from a revive faction co-leader in the HOF for having done 3,800+ revives.

1. You do need to be in the same location as someone to revive them. Except for Mexico, Caymans, and Canada, nobody wants to wait for you to fly from Torn to get revived.

2. Reviving can be quite profitable at times, but mostly due to bulk revive contracts. Most bulk revive contracts for my faction don't specify a Revive Skill requirement, so anyone can participate. As for individual revives (usually from ODs), revive skill does not matter at all. You can still get paid for them, but there is far less opportunity than before the Medical Revamp of 2021.

You don't need to give away revives to build skill if you don't want to. I did a lot of my revives under the old system, but they were 99+% paid for. Use chat to get agreement on payment terms before the revive.

3. If you want to give away revives to build skill, find a time when fewer revivers are active so you have a better chance of seeing someone in hospital. Also, look further down the hospital list than the first page.

Reviving should not be the only way you make money, but when you can revive it makes good money.
