Updated, Thanks!
To be honest, it’s not great. You’ve used clashing styles and themes. The dice make no sense to me. They are cartoonish, different sized, different light sourced and add nothing to the theme of Queen’s Gambit, from either the point of view of the show or the chess move!
The light source for the image in the forefront is where the light source for the entire piece should come from. It’s filtered and subdued while the rest is not. That part of the image is also the strongest part of the piece. And, based on your sourcing notes, I am betting none of that is your doing since if you had thought to make the light source work that way on that part of the image, you would have made it continuous through out.
It appears to me that you have just stuck images together to create your piece. It’s where everyone starts when first learning to make digital images and you don’t have to feel bad about it, but it needs improvement. Cohesive texture is needed. Why is there that grey spot next to her neck? That should be, at least, blacked out to match the background if not made to look like fabric to match. Why is she off center? She’s your focal point but you didn’t even bother to center her properly in your composition. Why did you choose such a clashing font? Neither color nor font style add anything to your piece.
Just saying it’s a “piece of art” is rude but there’s absolutely room for improvement. I love the Queen’s Gambit series and was excited to see the thread show up in my feed. But was really disappointed in what was offered.
