i was wondering what the car stats mean, some are self explanatory like top speed and acceleration but whats the diffrence between handling and safety? do both prevent crashes?

2. what do i upgrade to spend lesser time on sharp corners and turns?

3. im using two types of cars currently, at rank C, one for the tracks with contrasting paths (e.x. parkland mudpit) and the other for regular tracks, how drastically would it effect the dirt car if I upgrade dirt (since each time you do, it decreases effectiveness on tarmac) because some races consist of both kinds of tracks

Here are two good guides for your reference:

TORN Racing FAQ - Baldr
RD_'s Racing Guide "2.0"

1. Hope the others correct me if I am wrong but Safety is how long you spend in the hospital, rather than prevent crashes. Crashes are RNG.

2. More corner and turns = Short Ratio

3. Realistically, try to save your points as much as possible when you are at Class C and B. You would eventually move up anyway and those points will be wasted as you would probably rare use the cars again. The only exception would be the Cosworth for Mudpit.

yeah aleksandr pretty much nailed it. to add:

2 (and 1 kinda): handling helps take turns at a higher speed. braking allows you to get to turning speed more quickly, meaning that you can be at straightaway speed for longer. acceleration allows you to get back to speed more quickly after the turn.

3: again i'd like to emphasize - don't spend too many points in class c, it will handicap you in the early stages of class a. to answer the question directly, dirt tires perform better on tarmac than tarmac tires perform on dirt. you're better off going with dirt tires on hybrid tracks.
