An idea to get items back into circulation. basic concept is same as Loot levels on an NPCs

Once a player is 1 month inactive they go Loot level 1, then for each month after, they increase loot level to a max of loot level 5
This can be adjusted for what 'works best', and at what rate items should come back into circulation

Again, same as NPCs, their items become lootable by attackers
Items RNG drop rate for looting based on their 'Value' in the game at the time

anyways you get the idea. upvote this if you like

So I'm not gonna lie, I do like this idea. However... I also feel it disincentives players who have left the game to come back. For example, lets say someone stopped playing for whatever reason. Then after a year of inactivity they decide to start playing again. They log in only to find they've lost billion dollar items due to being looted. That player would most likely just log out again and never play again.

So while I personally like the idea, because hey, that would be really cool, lol. I doubt Ched would ever implement it into the game.

Very good point, the balancing of what gets looted is tricky. the returning player can also loot inactives though, and they could loot a Gold AK as much as the next person ;)

Its unlikely they would lose billions over time. its more an incentive not to leave, at least for not too long.

not the first time this has been suggested. it's been roundly rejected, because of the reasoning above. what gives you the right to take items from another person?
StreamaOz [1798019]
Well, other than being a crime game, and getting mugged is the same thing as taking something from someone else. no rights at all.
the same inactive comes back to find they have lost millions of dollars they had on hand is very similar, and the same disincentive.

its a suggestion, and similar to NPC looting. Just putting it out there again to see if it flies.

This is a stupid idea if you are planning to force losses on players that may return in the future. On the other hand, if you offer an option for a player to volunteer their account to be loot if they already know they wouldn't look back. That I'll support.
