you are the one who has literally left leadership due to being asked these questions, you started to panic about what was going on, removed people from leadership and council cause they didnt agree with you or whatever and then threw a fit and ruined relations with every other team

Any lead worth his or hers salt can look at the other teams attacks in and out for an hour and know exactly who is working together. Acting like alliances are some sort of secret is so 2018. However ...Telling your team who you're working with is good for a couple reasons
1- It prevents errant hits on allies. Friendly fire is quite real in this comp, and whether ya wanna believe it or not, it does have an impact. You have teams losing a push by 1-2 hits sometimes, I'd bet you anything that they have taken at least twice that amount by someone who hasnt been informed they are allied. I would take my alliances being common knowledge over losing a life to friendly fire hits any day of the week.
2- It builds trust and confidence in your team. I can only speak for the teams I've led, but in Lumberjacks and Bankers, every player from the leaders on down felt like they were truly involved in not only our execution, but our plans. They were truly Team Efforts and I think part of that stemmed from the fact that I didn't really keep shit from them.
You can say teams get stacked or whatever, but I can assure you that a BIG part of that is if you play with a leader you trust and that treats you like you're in it together, you're gonna wanna play with that person again next year, and likely hit them up before the comp and ask where they are going.
I dont think keeping people in the dark, or being some sort of Lone Wolf Dictator that doesnt include people in whats goin on makes you that kind of leader.

Everyone seems to be missing the real issue here: Snowball fell so ill he couldn't lead elimination and nobody seems to give a f**k about him. How is he doing?
Everyone knows who is with who based off who to hit.
Even if all leaders were secretive, you can check faction logs and corroborate who is with who in 5 minutes.
OT: Elimination is a battle of when to turn on the stronger team. Sea Men did it too early, but I don't disagree with the choice to flip early. No matter what they weren't winning on Illu's side. They just learned they aren't winning on the opposing side either.
Acock played it fine from a strategic standpoint, where he went wrong is abandoning the team when shit hit the fan. Go down with the ship, go down with your decisions. I've noticed with leadership in Elim, some people just make executive decisions and it never turns out well. Always talk with other leadership as this competition is literally just being a snake. If you're not the strongest team, you need to be a snake... a good one. There's a reason why the strongest team usually always wins, it's hard to be a good snake.
People think "good" leadership wins this competition, but the reality is people flock to join the strongest team. Then they end up getting walked to the finish line. Someone like Dezy tried to shake things up, but other leaders who want to go out in 6th flock to the other side to take advantage of Sea Men's "mistake".
Over here at Illuminati, our members are happy with knowing we don't have any clue what is going on aside from who we're supposed to hit. We've never been told a plan or alliances, just who to hit and when. And with few exceptions, everyone is on board with leadership keeping us in the dark to reduce the impact of spies.
Granted, it's easier to have faith when you're sitting high in tickets, but losing faith in your leaders because they're keeping alliance plans close to the vest is stupid and a clear sign of someone who doesn't understand how Elim works. In Elim there are the leaders and the grunts, and a good grunt keeps their head down and follows orders no matter what.

A role is just a role, you said 82% of people wanted you leading.
Can still lead without a role on Discord. But once you felt wronged, you got lots of people leaving + not giving a shit about the event on your behalf.
