The Lavish merit is obtained by dumping an item worth $1m or higher. You would expect that this merit costs at least $1 million to get. However, occasionally there are items that let you do this for cheaper.

As of November 16 2021, the Guandao weapon is worth $185k on the item market, but for some reason has a value of $2.5m. You can also buy it in China for $200k. Dumping this item would get you the lavish merit if you don't have it already.

EDIT: Checking the price on November 17 2021, the market value went back down to 200k and this no longer works for now with the Guandao. It seems that if you want to do this, you need to check the item markets for weapons that have a spiked market value, but where you can buy low-quality ones for cheap. Hope this helps!
