Citizens,
Advanced Weapon and Armor caches are now available as rewards through the new feature update: Ranked Warring.
- Melee Cache : Contains a Clubbing, Slashing, or Piercing weapon
- Small Arms Cache : Contains a Submachine gun or Pistol
- Medium Arms Cache : Contains a Rifle or Shotgun
- Heavy Arms Cache : Contains a Machine Gun or Heavy Artillery weapon
- Armor Cache: Contains a piece of the Riot, Assault, Dune, Delta, Marauder, or EOD sets
Opening one of these will produce at least a Yellow quality weapon or armor with boosted stats and a single class-specific bonus.
There is a small chance of receiving Orange quality variants and a tiny chance of receiving a Red. On weapons, the red and orange tiers will provide the most damage, the highest accuracy boosts, and the best bonus ranges - some may even spawn with two bonuses instead of one. On advanced armor, the red tier items will provide the most impactful bonuses and the highest amount of protection.
Factions will receive a number of these caches each time they compete in a Ranked War. The quantity received will increase depending on the faction's rank; for example, Gold ranked factions receive more than double that of Bronze, and Diamond receives more than double that of Gold. There are currently no plans to provide weapon and armor caches via any means other than Ranked Warring.
It'll be up to the factions to decide what they want to do with these caches. Perhaps they'll want to open them within the armory and keep the items inside the faction for loaning, withdraw the caches or items and sell them on the markets to fund supplies, or give them directly to its members as rewards for participation or achieving goals.
- In future, we plan on introducing a way to exchange unwanted advanced weapons and armor for fresh unopened caches. This means that even if one is arguably useless, it will still retain a reasonable value.
- An upcoming Item Market rebuild will also allow full filtering and sorting of advanced weapons and armor to help customers find exactly what they are looking for.
- All 58 of the new weapon and armor bonuses have been strenuously tested by developers, QA testers, and members of the staff and committee. Their ranges have also been carefully balanced to values that we feel are reasonable and safe. However, in the unlikely event that issues arise, we reserve the right to make adjustments if we deem them necessary.
Thanks.
