I'm confused by the new Snow Globe mechanic for Christmas Town. On maps marked with the question mark, do you need to find a snow globe item in that map to get the 50% item spawn bonus?

This is correct.
They're all puzzle maps, completing the secret/puzzle grants you a snow globe. Finding a snow globe will add a 1% bonus to spawns on every map, but if you find a couple of them, it quickly adds up.

Snow Globes were introduced last year. There were a couple of guides on how to get them easily last year...I just haven't found them again today yet. If I do I'll post the link.

This is correct.
Globes. Damn i am sure i had 3 2 yrs ago then got another 1 or 2 last yr now only have 2 in inventory. Log doesnt go that far back for me.
