Had been chipping away slowly at it and fell short of achieving it during the V-day event, persisted with it and got there.

That’s a long, steady progression — mostly done the old-fashioned way, instead of purchasing the finishing hits through defends.

Even the finishing hits you earned when purchasing defends seem to be a natural occurrence.

Also curious about this, how do you know how many finishing hits you’ve gotten with each type of weapon?

Torn stats weapon exp tracker could help. It requires 2k hits to achieve complete weapon exp. So 50% weapon exp on all weapons is how you get war machine.
