Tube dress doesn't show up over armour at all, which I was disappointed to discover. Checked skirt and straightjacket both do though. Most shoes can be worn over combat boots, weirdly. And I can put santa boots on as well …
There should be a tick option that allows armour or fashion to show, so visually they don't over ride eachother.
My understanding is the it's kind of just trial and error- many items stack poorly, so have been disabled (armor is all that shows).
Santa suit (minus hat) and Sandworm mask works quite well. Under it i have a full set of armor, a couple of crime enhancers (glasses, rosary beads, balaclava) and some other clothing items (mediocre t shirt, exotic gentleman mask, ballet shoes, choker, string vest)

Pure niche thing to do in your free time. I too would love to see a spreadsheet. I've actually found footwear to be the most interesting. You can wear combat boots and sometimes wear 2 different shoes a the same time... (3 pairs of footwear).
Tons of options. Sometime I'll get back to doing this again. My record is currently 39 items worn. Can anyone hit 40?

even if all your armor is covered. people can click your body picture and see what armor you have

this was suggested several times and chedburn simply said no
But there's still the lazy ones who can't be bothered :)
