i get it. attacking NPCS sucks. and not like a oh my god “i’m so stimulated” sucks… like a “it’s stuck in the vaccum cleaner help me” sucks. but here i am asking you to do it? WHY!? because i have to. because duke gave me a mission and i have to defeat him. and while asking on the forum for a group attack will probably get me bountied, or mugged (i’m poor save your E) i’m asking.

step 1: show up at 01:00 (to find DUKE just dype duke into the top bar, then get to the attack page)
step 2: watch to make sure a couple people start joining
step 3: once we get 25 or so people in we start throwing temps to kill his stats. Depending on if you think you can survive a hit or not you can wait for the blue circle (distraction bonus) to tick up to 20ish, or throw early and tank a hit for the team
step 4: put your mouse over the weapon you want to use and stare at the blue circle. Once it gets kinda close to the number of us that show up, click, then wait for it to go back up

The way I did it was the Torn PDA app. In the menu go to Loot. It will have a schedule showing at what power level the NPCs are currently and exactly what time they will go up in power.
Look for an easy one like Leslie. His loot isn't as good but you're more likely to get some and thus the merit.
When the NPC is about 30 seconds from hitting level 4, join the fight. Use your TCT clock to wait until the exact second he levels up to 4. Then, (if you're small) wait until players have him thoroughly distracted. There is an icon on the screen showing his distraction level. It only takes a few seconds to do this. Then unload with everything you got. Spam the shoot button until you either die or stalemate.
For those doing the mission, you'll get credit for the mission when someone else defeats the NPC if you assisted in the fight.
This is generally good advice, but the NPCs have been pretty consistently hanging out around loot level 5 lately.
no one does fights anymore, I have NPCs on stakeout and they stay at level 5 for at least a day so if you want a fight you're going to have to get in a discord server (where fights are sometimes organized) make a forum post (like you did) or stake out Penicillin (cuz he carries most NPC fights xD)
