In a 10* AN, looking to max gains while having enough income to HJ constantly. Currently have a NW of ~900m, 800m in the bank. I want to know: are 60k happy jumps (5 EDVD on 10* AN) better than 99k happy jumps (9 EDVD on 10* AN). Are they more efficient? On the one hand, 99k jumps have higher gains due to higher happy. On the other, I can do more 60k jumps as booster CD limits me with 99k ones. Also take into account decreased RW income due to being in a higher respect RW faction and having to pay for Xanax again (free in my current faction).

TLDR: Which one is better for stats/minmaxing my cooldowns: 99k or 60k?

When I first started playing and had questions like this, I found that older players gave me really dumb answers that didn't really address my questions.

They would say stuff like, "the best plan is the one you do every day" or "no need to bother with all of that, just take three xanax a day and everything will be fine".

I'm trying really hard not to say that. In the first months of play, most people are trying to get established. They want to be able to contribute to their faction and be viewed as a "serious" player.

I get that. So I'm going to try to give you a real answer.

Go with a solution that requires one happy jump per day. Do it at the same time every day. Get on a schedule. If there's a solution that avoids ecstasy, use it, as ecstasy has a higher OD rate and can blow your stack.

Also consider the cost. If the solutions are close and one is cheaper, go with the cheaper one.

Make sure you know when to switch training to something else, since happiness loses its effectiveness pretty quickly as you gain stats.

Finally, make sure your plan fits in with your faction's expectations. They may want to see some stacks for RW or chaining. Or they may be counting xanax but not DVDs taken. Make sure your plan fits in with what they expect.

I hope that helps. The MOST important thing in this game is long-term consistency. Believe me, I've looked at a ton of statistical data. To quote Sen. Warnock, "Half the job is just showing up."

Happy has a higher influence early on, but later it's better to spend more Energy. The turning point is at about 200-400k per stat (with normal HJ).After that point "take three xanax a day and everything will be fine" is a valid and good answer.

@voidbox:
To maximise your gains i'd recommend you to train one stat first to over 1m. When you don'stack, dump your E in there.
Then use 99k Jumps to get the other stats to 1m too. This minimises the lost natural refil Energy while stacking for Jumps.

After that it is better to just spend E instead of Jumping. Sell the EDVDs to buy Cans or FHCs to further increase your stat growth.

No happy jump that does not not using ecstacy. Sure OP can pysh his happy with other stuffs like strippo n freerides but it will make the cost hj extremely high.

No decent leader who does not understand the importance of having high happy during training than xanax taken for new players. Be that happy comes from candies or via boosters like edvds. If a leader can't grasp such basic mechanism, they should not be a leader. However hj must not get in the way with faction duty like wars n chaining. There are 7 days in a week, op can pick a day.

To Op:
Imho 99k happy > 60k happy IF you can afford it. Short reason : you must put natural energy being wasted into consideration N risk of OD. What is most painful about od is that you need to wait 24 hours to restack.

To both you and Dede, I understand that happy jumps and happiness in general lead to more rapid gains in the first few months. But having played for more than seven years now (I started in July 2015) I realize whether you get to 1M stats in a month or a year really does not matter matter in the grander scheme.

For every player who does every happy jump on time and manages to rapidly grow their stats, I see hundreds who think they MUST do that and finally give up and do nothing because it's too hard. And often, the few who succeed at their goal feel that their dedication should thrust them immediately into the leadership of a top faction. Their expectations are so high, it is unlikely any reality will meet them.

I also realize that, no matter how I phrase that, the only way to see the sense of it is to play consistently for several years oneself. After you've tried nearly everything in the game, you realize the "pace yourself" advice is best, and you wish you'd listened to it yourself.

Since there's no way to convey that message to a new player, I defaulted to "choose the plan that you can execute every day and stick with it".

They'd have to wait out their booster cooldown to restack either way.

Imho do the 60k jumps, the gains at 99k vs 60k will be seriously underwhelming. Plus you should take advantage of your higher exponential gains from jump to jump in the early gain.
Orange_Walrus [2601735]
If you are able to do 99k jumps, then do 99k jumps. You get roughly 60% more stats from a 99k jump than a 60k jump which is far from being underwhelming in my opinion.

Less jumps, less time spent stacking, less natural energy lost. It's a win.
Ohadik [424017] Wiki Contributor
60%? How on earth do you figure? Your gains are less the higher your happy gets. It's not a straight line gain.
Orange_Walrus [2601735]
The flat gains from happiness are linear, the bonus gains from current stats have diminishing returns. But at low stats the bonus gains are close to zero so the flat gains are the important ones.
Orange_Walrus [2601735]
Happiness works in two ways

1. Adds a flat gain to stats in gym based linearly on amount of happiness
2. Adds a bonus scaling to all gym gains with a diminishing return that gets heavy after around 4k happiness

---

With low stats (1) will grant around 99% of the stats, so thats why a 99k jump grants around 60% more stats than a 60k jump

99k jumps are best. I don't think regular (30k happy) jumps are even worth considering lol. Just get into a 10* an and then do atleast 60k happy jumps. 99k happy jump cap with 1150e spent is 1.6m. 60k jump cap is 800k. 30k jump cap is 400k

Might be worth getting into higher gyms first. Chachas is around the halfway point of gyms (30k e less than halfway actually). Even if you don't get to heavy gyms, atleast get into middle weight ones. The gym dots are multipliers to gains. If you're getting 10k in a jump in the first gym (2 dots), youll get 20k with the same money and e in the global gym (4.dots). It's a simplification but you get the idea.

Plus 3xan + refill + nat e that you'd use to unlock gyms quick won't be very expensive, giving you time to make some cash. Music store helps too.

Companies are your friend. Use them to help your growth along. And have fun, ultimately that's what matters.. Dont burn yourself out trying to gain stats. They will come. Dont do jumps if it'd make you poor or ruin your enjoyment of the game. Many viable ways to grow stats. I've had people doing 99k jumps with full booster fhc's who just burned out. Came back after months by which point all the optimisation had just been wasted.. consistency is key.

This^^^^

As someone who didn't know much about happy jumps early and did a bunch of 30k happy jumps, I can tell you there's a big difference in training at 30k and 60k happy. Especially when your stats are smol.
If you can afford those bigger happy jumps, don't even consider the smaller 30k happy jumps.
voidbox [2803732]
wow, so that extra 40k happy does 60% more gym gains?
I'm just clarifying because this is news to me and pretty unintuitive lol, I wish I knew this a while ago

ALSO by 99k jumps I mean 9edvd on 10* AN perk (which I already have, Fermion) with ecstasy.
nihilisticcat [2112766]
your premise is incorrect doe, if we're looking at the gym gains formula:

(Modifiers)*(Gym Dots)*(Energy Per Train)*[ (a*ln(Happy+b)+c) * (Stat Total) + d*(Happy+b) + e ]

the place happy takes a part in is:

(a*ln(Happy+b)+c) * (Stat Total) + d*(Happy+b) + e

this is a multiplier, if we simplify the formula to it's base components it comes out to:

(modifiers [z]) x (gym type [y]) x (e [x]) x (happy [w])

Happy does not provide a flat bonus to end games, rather it effects the multiplier of the gains, in a reverse exponential (logarithmic) manner.
