I am unsure what happened here.
Honourbound [2833666] started playing as Snickelfritz [2487979]'s referral, per the logs. However at some point, the system seems to have changed the referral to be Entropi [2486892]. There's no generated log or manual change done by a staff member. I will have to ask Ched to check this one.

I can see what's happened here.
Recently we changed the referral to be added during the final stage of the welcome tutorial, but it seems it's also still being set initially during registration, before this step.
They would have registered on Snickelfritz's referral URL and they would have been set as the referral during registration, but then the referral was manually changed by them to Entropi during the welcome tutorial.
I think we need to remove the events and referrals being set during registration so they're no longer set when the account is created, and move this process entirely to the end of the welcome tutorial. When the referral is set during the end of the welcome tutorial, the referral should be set, and the event should be sent.
