    It is intended, yes. The amount is based on your Cash on hand and updates based on live transactions. There's a confirmation message before your purchase to ensure you are buying the correct amount. Thanks!

Preface: Not sure if this counts as a bug or is meant as a feature so please grave if irrelevant.

When in the stock market with a number of shares selected to be bought (less than max possible), if someone buys something from your bazaar before you hit "buy", it auto fills the buy field to max.

Likely the side bar refreshing when the event/money comes in causes it.
Not game breaking but slightly annoying having to re-sell shares that you didnt intend to buy in the first place.
