You get to teambuild with anything that's theoretically possible so everyone has "perfect" Pokemon without having to playthrough an actual Pokemon game. I used to play something like this half a lifetime ago. Back then you had to download a client program but now it looks like it's a browser game.
I would play the OU (overused) meta of Gen 3.
These are the main Pokemon from the Gen 3 OU meta:
