Im pretty sure ppl have discussed what stat builds and ratios are better or have the advantage on other stat builds. Im just looking for a guide which details what stat has the advantage and disadvantage of what stat build.
Like Dex + Str builds don't have to train Spd and Def cause they in a fight with a Def + Str + Spd build will win at the same lvl.
Then why do some Dex builds train Spd and other info about it.
Any links to guides on it would help cause im just looking to see what stat counters what and what stat can be not trained for certain advantages at the cost of certain disadvantages.
The biggest advantage for a balanced build : easy training without thinking.
I think you could use what each stat does to come up with an advantage to various builds:
You probably know this, but...
Strength is attack power, ignoring this you would do less damage in successful attacks
Speed is accuracy, ignoring this you would miss your attacks
Defense mitigates attack power, ignoring this you would take high damage from successful attacks
Dexterity mitigates speed, ignoring this your opponent wouldn't miss attacks as much
If you're asking what build is the "best", it's very hard to say simply because shit changes ALL the time, with little notice, that can drastically affect attacking (introduction of ranked war weapons/armor, etc.). Also, you'll attack different people: if you stack strength and face a dex whore, well you're really strong but you'll miss everything.
I'm staying fairly balanced, but focusing strength/speed as required to stay in the specialist gyms. Those 2 stats may not be the best to focus (and may even be the worst) but I like the flavour of being a glass-cannon. Staying (close to) balanced is the best way to future-proof yourself, I think, which is most important to me. Especially because this is a long-term game, and yet drastic changes can happen overnight, with no way to 'respec' yourself!

If you don't have speed, how would you hit your target though?
Say you have 1 bil STR, 50 DEF, 50 SPD and 1 bil DEX, going up against a target with 500 mil STR, 500 mil DEF, 500 mil SPD and 500 mil DEX. What do you think the outcome would be?
Fun fact: you dont need 500 mil STR, 500 mil DEF, 500 mil SPD and 500 mil DEX
you will win with: 50 STR, 50 DEF, 500 mil SPD and 5 mil DEX
I would say balanced build (maybe not 1:1:1:1 but somethink like baldr ratio balanced) is the strongest, but imbalanced is more fun, and builds like Hanks gives you a bit more total stats gains
I balance my Def and Dex separately, and Spd and Str separately. Switch gyms when TornTools says I could no longer train that stat without losing access to the specialist gyms.
Im not looking for the "best" build. Im looking for ppl which talk about the builds themselves and their counters. Like just the builds themselves not the training. Like why should a Dex + Str build need Spd? Or what are the benefits of a Spd build. stuff like that. Im looking for a post which talks about that.
Benefits of speed is literally being able to hit your target.
If you’re a Dex + Str build, you’ll want speed aswell, cos what’s the point in having high strength if you can’t hit your opponent?
And if they’re a Dex heavy build, you can pretty much forget about landing a hit on them if you have no speed. Even more so if they smoke grenade you.

Personally im more a fan of good training builds where you keep special gyms open. Balanced is nice and best for fights but end of the day you wanna get BS as fast as you can. Look up baldr and hank`s ratio`s
