If your looking to recover happiness after an od I'd suggest going to rehab instead as it'll get rid of your drug addiction and max your happiness.

Other options to boost your happiness are stripogram vouchers, candy and a believe there are job specials that can boost it as well.

Ecstasy also doubles your current happy.

It should also be noted that when you do rehab, you don't have to do a full rehab. Just 1 will bring your happy bar all the way to max.
