With full Xanax, lots of farm job points, and 80 green easter eggs per year, you can unlock Cthulhu in 3-4 years, exploiting all the upgrades. With much less, probably 12 years.
How are you gonna use 80 easter eggs over the course of Halloween?
Lovecraft has been dead for 70+ years, so Cthulhu is in the public domain ... but apparently there's also a lot of flailing about on who actually owns what: The Black Seas of (Lovecraft) Copyright. I'm guessing the Great Old Ones of Torn decided it was better to be safe than sorry.
