Is there a way to figure out who keeps mugging me. It lists “Someone”. Is there a way to identify this person somehow? Like a later attack with a spy camera or idk anything?

It is Halloween which is an attacking event and you are a low level non green leaf. people will randomly attack for the next two days. just dont keep lots of money on hand. If you want to know whose attacking you need to either grow stats (either dex or spd determines stealth attacks) or have another player attack you but not hit start fight and tell who is attacking. It wont be 1 person though

You could use your faction bank.
You could also buy stocks and sell them when you need the money.
You could also read one of the dozen guides that cover this more extensively.

When online and if you have someone you really trust ghost trades are great too.
Technically you can find out who is mugging you if a friend joins the attack but does nothing, but it’s likely multiple people anyway

I’m new to torn so I was gonna try to grow with this new faction so I don’t feel out of place. But maybe that isn’t the best way to go about things? I just didn’t wanna be a burden to a successful faction- not knowing really what I’m doing. No idea what a chain is or any of the lingo so.

There's TONS of factions that will take in and help a willing new player.

Factions want and are looking for members all the time, you won't be a burden. Even as a green leaf new player, you could probably get into a faction with at least 500k - 1 million respect no questions asked.

Just help out chaining (doing attacks when they plan chains), and be active daily, and you'll be a top notch member.

Join an established faction that can lead you correctly and provide benefits. While theres nothing wrong with "building" with a faction, I would only do that if you care little about actually growing. Thing is helping small factions grow actually takes more individual work than bigger, established factions.

Thats if you actually want it to grow into something relevant. Better to learn what youre doing *then* head out to help a smaller faction.

Youre faction leader is a level 15. Its hard to grow when you're teacher hasn't grown himself.

you wouldn't be a burden to a successful faction! as long as you are active, willing and able to learn most successful factions would train you up and teach you everything you need to know! and they have great perks that will help you in every aspect of the game that small faction lack!

There are tons of well established factions that take in new players. I joined mine and learned how to torn from them and although the faction is much larger than when I joined we still take in new players.

As long as you are willing to learn you will never be a burden. No question is dumb as torn is a learning curve and always changing.
