a lot of my faction members are asking if its possible to withdraw their own funds from the faction as it saves leader the hassle
T-Stark [2086654]
If it weren't tied directly to other people's funds, this would be fine.

However, might I suggest these Members invest in a property with a vault?
Buda [2194089]
its possible they just need the right permissions

most people in faction leadership positions prefer to limit the amount of people that have access to prevent someone emptying the entirety and bouncing.

I've always thought it would be cool if Faction leaders could set a "bank account" for members, kind of like the PI vault, so you can deposit or withdraw from that, and factions can transfer funds to their "accounts". You could also set the limit yourself (as leader).

However, after playing for nearly 3 years, using Faction as my own personal vault, and also been a Faction leader I can say - No, stop using Factions as a vault.

The faction vault is a vault, not a bank account. Having every member have access to an isolated account is simply not the purpose of the vault. If you want to suggest a new feature to securely hide infinite money, go ahead and post in Suggestions. But, for the vault, anyone who has access to the vault has access to ALL of it.
Yura [2418858]
All of you are not understanding it completely.

We would like the option to let the members withdraw only their OWN money they have assigned to THEIR name. That option doesent exist in torn yet.
Ygaria_Varr [2811829]
Money put into the vault is a donation to the Faction; even I know that and I'm a noob (who doesn't always concentrate.)

Please will you all stop using faction vaults as your own personal bank. It leads to trouble, disappointment, bloodshed and painful forum threads.

Money should go into Stocks or personal vault.

That's true whether it's the Faction Leader doing it or Faction Noobs.

No no. Everyone understands but Ched has already come out and said the faction Vault is not meant to be a bank account.
NedwardBalton [2622839]
I'm pretty sure this has been suggested on numerous occasions and Ched's response is that the faction vault isn't intended to be used to store player funds in the first place.
0xHemlock [2662912]
We do understand completely what the suggestion is. Comprehension isn't the issue.

The main key difference here is the idea of segregating vault access. Access to the vault currently means access to the whole vault, but the suggestion is to allow access to only a portion of it. Namely, convert it into personal bank accounts. What we're saying is that that isn't the purpose of the vault, and adding this option would be changing the entire feature itself. This is going in a direction that would not be good to go.

Its not that people dont understand, the vault was not made for that purpose in the first place. And i personally also dont think that vault should work the way you suggest, UNLESS a job perk or something gets added to the game which would make it not so safe anymore.

This game is PvP game by nature, adding too many safe ways to store money wouldnt do the game any good. I believe thats also the reason why PI has such a tiny storage capacity.

At the moment, putting money into the faction vault takes them out of your control. When you can withdraw them , if you can at all is solely up to factions leadership, which i think* is fair for PvP game.

A company bank is also a pretty good place for spare funds. If you have the stock to protect from hacking the company bank is one of the best money storage options in Torn.

On one hand, faction vault is not supposed to be a bank account. On the other hand it tracks player's balance. I find that a bit of a contradiction.
