Don't know if this i mentioned somewhere else. Why can one not make use of the vault when you rent it from someone? You get to make use of all the other things, but why not the vault?

No real reason, other to encourage ownership of your own
It also would create the issue of what to do with the money in the vault when the rental term ends. Return it to the renter as cash-on-hand? Cashier's check? Let the owner keep it?

Chedburn sees renting as a temporary thing. So to prevent people from renting forever, which some players do anyway, he's gotta have something to take away. He chose the vault as there's many ways to safely store money already.

I mean, they can allow you to share but that's just the cost of ownership.
