Wiki : Cracking

New crime, and just as Christmas Town arrives!
Hello again everyone, I've taken over another wiki thread at damaster's request.

Today's crime is Cracking, where we'll assemble our own computer rigs with the express purpose of cracking passwords, using different computer parts all available through crimes like SFC, burglary, and mostly the newly released shoplifting location, Cyber Force.

Seems like a lot of it involves guessing passwords and using the rigs to guess one or more characters, with better rigs unlocking additional characters.

Work on the wiki page should start sometime today as soon as enough data for it comes up.

Here's some data that could be of use:
- Money ranges for specific targets, who was the target and what was the password for
- Critical outcomes, if any, and their ranges
- Whichever guess you had that led to a success, chances are someone will end up making a word list

I would say, look for patterns and such on a QWERTY keyboard. I had a few that are based off QWERTY. So for other keyboard users, please be aware.

Passwords can be...

A string of numbers.
2 words together e.g. DietCoke, OldMan
A persons name.
A word followed by a number e.g. "Young1"

So it looks like you can guess the password easrly and save E. Expect some serious addons to help this crime in the future. I got like 30 days if EDU to knock out while you guys guinea pig.

The enhancer for cracking is the office chair. You can get one in Shoplifting - Cyber Force whilst the guards are down.

Inputting the password into the login page, you gain entry to the online payment service. There's nothing that stands out from the list of purchases, but perhaps there's something you don't know. Contacting the client, you relay the details and request payment. Your invoice is cleared rapidly and you receive an appreciative and revealing email soon after. I'm already struggling with Word Fixer in Christmas town, now this wtf

If we are limited to a certain number of passwords to crack per day, it makes sense to brute force all characters to maximize CS gain.

If this is the case it's a really unfortunate oversight, as being able to guess passwords should see you rewarded with bonus CS.
