Depends on the company.

To check go to the newspaper, click job listings and select the company you want. It’ll tell you on the top banner.

You have to be level 10 to start one though, so you’d need to wait. Not to mention it’s a bad idea to start a company so young

This question is asked many times. Yes, you can afford to start a company now, like candle shop, fireworkstand, flower shop, etc. The initial cost is lower than 1M. But it will take more than that to run it well.

Attention want-to-be LEADERS and BOSS BABES and ALPHA CHADS. Before leading anything in this game and in real life, learn how to be a follower.

Also, in the Tutorials and Guides section of this very forum, there are tutorials and guides on owning a company. The first thing they will tell you is pretty much the above, it is usually a bad idea for new players to own and run a company. I've been playing for well over a year and am not even close to having the perks unlocked that make leading a company easier.

Also know that a low-star company that can not provide much training will have to pay a lot more and/or settle for low-stats noob employers compared to an established successful company with frequent employee training and lots of unlocked benefits.

Pretty much this, starting a company from scratch as a new player is a challenge. It's possible but until you get more perks unlocked for the company you'll end up paying much more out of pocket than you normally should be spending. I don't recommend starting a company until you can atleast afford to pay advertising and stocks. Which means your first goal before even thinking about a company should be lvl 15 being in a PI and flying for flowers/plushies constantly.

The education courses take about 6 months to fully complete. I've only finished 4 business education courses so far and still have a decent way to go until I've completed them all. The education and stock blocks help but aren't necessary to run a "successful" company, at least for the starter companies, I can't really comment on PSF's / TV / Mining / Oil Rigs etc as all I've been running is a AN.
