Can you provide what error you are getting in the browser console? You can open it using Ctrl+Shift+I
It is on mobile. In torn pda it is slow and unresponsive. Via google chrome there is no chat at all

Yes, on PC it is ok. but mobile and via torn PDA there is no point trying.
I just play on PC now, but just check my activity. cannot be good for longevity of this game..especilally not in modern times

Chat has been working perfectly fine on both Desktop and mobile devices. I will recommend you to clear cache/site data for the browser once if you are still facing issues and want to troubleshoot it.
When you send a message the chatbox drags down across the screen. For no reason
So you have to select the box again for the next message, for it to go up etc etc. No smooth chat session
