Hey guys, I have started to open caches lately, it’s fun even tho it’s not always profitable.

My question is, is the outcome already determined and fixed for each created cache in the game, or is it happening when we click open?

I know it doesn’t have any effect knowing this but well, I’m just curious about it.

Also I’m open to your ideas about which cache is usually more profitable? Small arms caches can have loads of junk in it and can lead to a 80-90% loss most of the time, medium arms, i don’t know, too many shotguns in it. Melees, no idea, too many low bases but good bonuses maybe?(Cause people tend to use melees more than secondary??)

Anyways, feel free to share your experience and knowledge please!

I've heard armor is the most profitable since you get the best return% for getting the worst possible piece.

Each cache generates its contents when you click open, not when they are created. As for most profitable cache, could be any cache, just depends on your luck. Smalls have red revit, melee has red rage or evis or a whole load of other interesting perk combos, medium has red deadeye, penetrate, powerful etc, eod, while more consistent, is pretty low in terms of profit ceiling, cuz the highest you can get is a god roll apron, deffo not as much potential as other caches. Meanwhile even heavy has red stricken.
Generally people say armor has the least potential for loss, but id say medium or melee has the most hype cuz you can get some dank perk combos while the others are mostly centred around one op perk (ie revit, stricken, the eod one)

Is not everything like the Drug Packs with Vicodin and Xanax?

Eventually it all settles into one median price?

Or do the very rare finds make it worth the gamble?

Yup, each cache type only gives certain weapons. Small gives pistol and smgs, melee gives all the melees including slashing, piercing, clubbing, medium gives shotgun and rifles and heavy gives heavy artillery and machine guns. Armor is self explanatory. Certain bonuses also are limited to certain weapon types, which you can find details on in the wiki, although im pretty sure the info in there is inaccurate in some places
