Hi, is there somewhere that tells me my progress and how close I am to leveling up? Or what I need to do to level up? I'm not sure what I'm doing. I don't have missions anymore. Thank you.

missions will reopen once you do ^this^ and hit level 15 with flying and other features opening to you also.
Not until level 15 when you can fly to china and you can buy a prophet or something that tells you your progress to levelling.
At level 15 you can travel to China where you can visit fortune teller that will show you your progress to the next level for 75k.
Before that just attack and leave on street and you'll get there eventually.

I mean absolutely no disrespect, but if you plan on playing Torn for more than a few days, you may want to consider finding a more experienced faction. It looks like the leader of your faction is only level 10 themselves!
There are ALOT of much more experienced factions that would be happy to have you. A good faction will provide you with weapons and armor, and Medical items at the very least. With experienced faction leadership (YEARS played, Torn is a very long term game) you will be able to ask questions and get VERY VERY valuable guidance early on. :)

Find a better faction, really. Youll be able to lvl up way faster if you join a proper faction with veterans to guide you. Most of them even would gear up you and provide xanax for trains, if youre comitted, that is
China has a fortune teller that can tell you how close you are to levelling up. You'll have to be level 15 to go there though. For now, focus on leveling like the others have said.
Another way to tell how close you are is to use the hall of fame. The lower the level you are the harder it is. But do the following:
Go to hall of fame
Sort by level
Look at what number you are. - remember this number.
Go down till you find the lowest level 5. - remember this number
Go up till you find the the highest level 5 - remember this number.
Now you have a decent idea where you are in the race to level 6.
