Whether you’re a Torn City veteran or a new arrival, chances are that you found us through one of our online video advertisements. You know, like this one where we slow zoom into a first aid kit before throwing in more fast cuts than a depressed sushi chef. Pretty neat, right?

That video was directed by Michael Bay, but as he’s no longer available, we’re looking to the Torn community for something new. We’d like you to help us create a 15 second or a 30 second online advertisement that showcases the Torn experience. Feel free to be as creative as you like with this incredibly vague brief, but do try and avoid making something that will result in our social accounts being permabanned.

Every video that we choose to use will win $250 USD for its creator and the top community event prizes, including the champion honor bar and typical stat enhancer value prizes that come with a gold ribbon. You may enter this contest more than once, but your entries must be materially different from anything previously submitted.

Here are some things to consider before entering.

Showcase TORN in a 15 or 30 second video advert - nothing in between - to encourage new players to join the game.

Try to avoid lingering on anything that isn’t PG-13 within your video.

Players are welcome to message sugarvalves with a basic script outline beforehand to ensure that your entry will be suitable.

Read this article on best practices within mobile video advertising for some handy tips.

We will require videos in a variety of formats: 4:5, 1:1, 16:9, 9:16. Please choose one of these and retain your video files to enable us to resize.

The resolution must be no lower than 1080 x 1080 pixels.

Any audio or visual content must be royalty-free or the rights owned by you.

By entering this competition, you agree that the final copyright of the video will be assigned to TORN LTD upon receipt of your cash prize of $250.

There will be no one singular winner. We will choose players to receive in-game prizes and the cash prize over the next few months for any videos we like the look of, meaning you can also win multiple times and receive multiple sets of prizes.

The final time for submissions is Sunday, March 10th, 23:59:59pm TCT

Thanks for reading, we look forward to seeing the upcoming creations!

Please find my submission here: Torn Advertisement Contest. The ratio is 16:9.

Note: Annoyingly my laptop played up during saving and the Project File no longer exists (I used CapCut and I have looked everywhere - I'm hoping their Customer Services might be able to assist, but that may take some time, if it's even possible). If this changes I will of course provide the file, but hopefully this does not disqualify my entry as it took over 3 hours to make!

Important Update: Capcut Customer Service have responded this morning to state there is absolutely nothing they can do. The MacBook application encrypts all projects, which when deleted in-app, permanently trashes them in the Mac file system. To say I’m kicking myself is an understatement. On a more positive note, I’m glad to see so many people enjoying the Ad. Best of luck to all the other entrants and PLEASE save your project files!

Rare chance for champion honor without being Jamie Oliver or Pablo Picasso so I hope this gets published even as a not-like-this- or we-hope-u-have-atleast-some-editing-experience-example.

Made in Adobe After Effects, got the project and files backed up, 16:9 Ratio and 1920x1080p, can also be converted to 1080x1080p video format for use on social media etc, can crop if needed.

Enjoyed making this, don't often get chance to edit and create videos, let alone something for TORN.

Thanks hope you like.

So... nothing fancy, just a little something to participate too! It was made on Canva.com so... do not expect much.

Also, since it was made on Canva i think that there is a way to send the project w/o losing quality and the editor will be able to change the typo and stuff easily.

The video
