RR Bug??

I was involved in a RR game within the past 40 minutes from the time i write this.

I staked 5.5bn and awaited an opponent.

An opponent joined, took the first shot and it was my go.

I was spam clicking shoot the entire time and none of my clicks would register, I was stuck in hosp with max hosp cooldown so when i logged in on my phone I couldn't access the RR page.
Alas - i've not shot and the timer has run out and he's taken the entire cash stack.

Could this please be looked at please? I'm honestly not trying to have anyone over or anything like that, i've played this game for years and years and always abided by the rules and tried to help where possible.

I would hate to quit this game after such a long time after such a horrible instance. I wagered my money yet I didn't get the opportunity to gamble it. Please if there is anything that can be done, can it.

So i had been playing RR for the afternoon and had experienced several losses in a row, of which are completely fair - i played the games and i drew the short straw.

I don't have any idea how to reproduce the issue because i've never come across the issue before.

I just wanted my final bit of cash to go into an RR game that was fair.
What has happened is entirely unfair as i didn't even get to shoot a bullet or gamble my money, it was swiped from me.

I wouldn't just let the player do this, i was there watching the seconds count down and no action was being taken, all i really want is a replay of this game.

As i've said i've enjoyed this game for countless years now and i would hate to part ways with it over something like this, it feels so empty and cruel what has happened. I've just watched my money disapper and was unable to do anything about it or impact it.

Did you self hosp and switch from laptop to mobile? Not sure from what you've written above

I know if you leave the RR page when self-hosped you have to med out to be able to load it again so possibly something related if you switches devices but again can't quite tell

I was on my desktop, i played lots of RR games before this one. Lost them fair and sqaure, also got mugged a few times and built up my medical cooldown. This was my last pile of cash that i wanted to wager in RR. So i put 5.5bn in the game then i self hosp'd, meanwhile my medical cooldown is over 6 hours so i can't use medical items to get out, if i wanted to.

I experienced the problem around 15 seconds into my turn that when i clicked, nothing was happening. Of which i paniced (hard) and grabbed my phone as thats another device i play torn on. The plan was to carry out the rest of the RR game on my phone but when i got on my phone, because i was in hospital (and had exceeded the medical cooldown), i was unable to click casino and access russian roulette to take my turn. So i resorted to refreshing the page on my desktop and continually trying to click 'the odds are 1 in 5, shoot!' button; to no avail.

I would just like the game reinstated, surely by my log in times and activity you can see i was active and not 'afk' during the course of this game, i was held at unfair advantage and i've lost a substantial money as a result.


I even contacted the player afterwards for a rematch on it, and to make it completely fair i would shoot first on the next game much like he just did in my game.

You need the direct link. Which can be an issue when switching devices.

I have had the issue before. The shoot button doesn't work and I just kept reloading my page and towards the last minute it worked.

sounds like your browser issue here, as the game was fine when you moved to your mobile phone. as in, you couldnt leave hospital but torn was fine. i had a similar issue once when browser adblock blocked all buttons on page for some reason. i had to reinstall adblock. sadly, it doesnt look like a torn issue to me.

your nw is 28b take this as a BIG loss cause staff cant do anything when it comes to things like this sadly get back out there on that RR horse!

Minus the fact theres been atleast 2 other bug reports of the same issue where browser is desycing or not responding. Logs appear normal yet on your screen youre unable to click or it never registers someone has joined.

Similar issue when the nerve and energy bars are off when you open an older tab.

I constantly refresh every so often when playing RR, not that I play often.

I dont see how you can just look at the bug report and then a timestamp log and suddenly conclude there is no issue.

Timestamp logs show nothing relating to visual or interface issues, this would need a screen recording to confirm or deny effectively.

Or go play some RR games yourself.

I have also had this issue sometimes, very rarely, but it sorts itself out on a refresh i think..haven't played in a long while so can't replicate

obviously timestamps wont show issues with the browser. only mentioned what happened to me before. never had an issue since and i usually have 5-6 torn tabs open at the same time. and yes, i play RR every day :)

Tbh mate I’ve experienced this MANY times before, though it was fixed with a simple refresh of the page on the device I was using.

it is an issue though a bit of common sense would’ve avoided it from OP, unless he tried that and it didn’t work.

I'd say im quite adept with computers having built a few in my teens and understanding basic trial and error solutions.

It's why i swapped to my phone once my gut had a horrible feeling, i figured get off my wifi and use mobile data - thats fresh and should work - and it did! but i couldn't reach the RR page as the TORN mobile app doesn't have a URL area where you can paste in a custom URL (in my instance, the russian roulette URL)

I can't say i have ever, ever experienced anything like this from general browsing, to other text based games where the page is live and active and working but i'm frozen out, looking in. I would describe the similarity to sleep paralysis, you're conscious and aware but unable to do anything.

I just want a solution to this as this has really impacted my whole mentality about the game. A mistake that wasn't my own has caused me to lose out on a siginificant portion of my wealth, as a result, this just doesn't sit well with me, there is no closure on the matter.. the only closure for me is to quit as i don't want to invest any more time into anything that may have a hiccup again. Unless of course there is some sort of remedy here, im asking for the game to be replayed in fair spirit - that is all. If i lost that game then there would be a fair result and closure on this.

Doesn't the timer start from the last turn (in this case, Ajui)? Therefore, it's only 3 minutes 8 seconds, from the last turn to the game timing out, which obviously shouldn't happen.

If I'm wrong, apologies as I'm honestly not trying to stir things up, I'm flying for a while so can't check for myself and, it's starting to really bug me now (no pun intended), so felt it was worth checking, as this would indicate a deeper issue than just the UI glitching out (as it often does in general).

That makes more sense. It's been a while since I've used the RR, so I couldn't remember the exact time-out but, I knew something about the 5 minutes Jumper stated just didn't seem right. X-D
