This is a thin reality to escape to. Here is world that has rules that some can understand and results that are somewhat predictable based on a RNG and modifiers. It has a little box to type our ideas into and get instant feedback from friends and foes. Or even worse, a silence from the void when no voice echos back. For many of us this is a good deal. We like to dive in and see what we can do to build wealth, take money or happiness from others, gain power or lose it in all in a game. A diversion from the pressure of a society that we don’t really care to be in anymore and we join Torn dot com. I am getting better sleep lately too, and it feels pretty good.
