How can someone be the same level as me but also have like 100+ awards and a really good paying job? I thought stats matter when it comes to getting a good job on here.

There are some people called level holders. They have been playing the game for a while, but have chosen not to level up. Usually a better indication is someone's age and activity. If both of those are high the player probably has good stats and has had time to work on awards, but has deliberately chosen to stay at a lower level.
