You should make it so when a player becomes inactive for say over 1 year, when mugged you either get money or a random item the have whether it be a $5 item or 100 million dollar item. That will keep items in circulation, especially for rare or high dollar items.

No you shouldn't.

Players return form being inactive all the time. I've heard of cases where someone was gone for more than 10 years before returning. They should be able to still have all their shit that they had when they left. If someone quits for a few years, and returns to find all their items and money has been stolen, it's a almost a guarantee they will quit again for good.

Someone acquiring a bunch of cool stuff then just leaving for years, makes it unfair to those that play regularly.
MrFonzak [2658548]
How is it unfair? Your account is 107 days old. That’s not long enough to have earned “a bunch of cool stuff”. Just keep grinding and playing and as you grow your stats and NNB (nat nerve bar) you’ll begin to acquire your own collection.

[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Hypothetically, if someone has played long enough to earn enough money and buy up every single ranked war weapon (theoretically impossible) and then just quit the game and hoard these forever, that is entirely their prerogative, and entirely fair. We don’t need to add any ways to take items from people, inactive or not. [/background]

If someone earned any item it is the right to keep it for a 100 years, or anything they want. You dont have any right for others inventory, are you a fckin communist or what?

Proper suggestion is, noone under a year and 500 xanax cannot make a suggestion cause they dont know anything

The only way I could EVER see this going into effect is for a Perma Fedded person who cannot come back. The people who just... Leave. They might come back. I left for 3 years, I was mugged a bunch of times, but I'm glad I had all my items and was able to pick right back up from where I left off
JackKelly [2271177]
It's not unfair. That cool stuff didn't just appear for them. They paid for it, or won it, or attained it somehow. What would be unfair is for them to do all the work to get the cool stuff, then to lose it just because some noob got a lucky mug.

People who are permafedded do get their items taken, they get added to the display case of The Hampster who gives them away as community prizes for community events

Your account is 107 days old and you're still not level 15? You hardly play the game as is and you want to have the ability to take items from other players that may have spent years obtaining them just because they stopped playing?

The sense of entitlement is insane, f**k off.
Odin-All-Father [2010524]
As someone who started playing this game 16 years ago and has spent maybe 12 years of it inactive, I say; f**k you.

i earn my items, i earn my money, whether i decide to donate it all to the church, or buy every single collectible in the game and log off for 10 years is my choice, as it is yours.
Shindig7 [3155566]
I never meant for any disrespect or have a sense of entitlement. This wouldn't even benefit me or new players since most unique items are owned by high level players. This would only benefit long term, high level players. I just never seen games where you never log on for years and your account is still active. As far as saying I'm not active, I log on multiple times a day, so that's active in my opinion. Sorry I can't be logged in playing 12 hours a day. If I have an inactive streak for more than a month, you can gladly strip me of items without argument from me, even knowing I have no rare items.
My thoughts were that one of the many aspects of the game was also to collect/accumulate rare items. If these items are taken out of circulation by someone who just leaves permanently, why have them? If you voluntarily close your account, do your items get recycled?

They only thing, if any thing, that should go back to torn from inactive players is the company that is no longer running (as a Director, not just employee). They can get a bank draft that doesn't trigger until they log in again and can put the money they spent on the company into their vault or the like. The reason is because there are some awesome company names that will forever be lost unless they come back online and sell company back to the system. We can destroy factions but not companies? Unless I am mistaken of course. There are many more smarter players than me on here.

Regarding closing an account vs being inactive. They are two different things. There have been many players that had life happen and it was a few years until they could spend some time playing again (having a new baby is one such example), they shouldn't be punished for that. If a player decides that, "Nope, I don't want to play this game again", well then, the account is closed and all assets put back into the game (as far as I know).

I get the life comment, this is a game and there are more important Things, at least for most. And yes it would suck to come back after a break and have things you worked for, or even spent real world money to get, gone. I didn't mean to upset anyone by this suggestion. I was looking at it from a different aspect. Once your at a certain higher level one of the aspects of the game is to acquire rare items (the whole purpose of the display case). What good is a display case to fill with hammers or televisions. Even if life gets busy taking a minute once a year or so should be doable. I also didn't mean that someone should be totally outright stripped of all their belongings. I meant if they were attack, mugged and lost there was a possibility of getting a random item from them.
