Hey everyone,
My AN company recently reached 8*. Now, I'm contemplating whether I should start selling trains or keep offering them for free on a rotational basis.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. If the consensus is to go ahead with selling, I'm curious to know how you think I should get started. Also, I'm a bit worried about how this might affect employee morale. Do you think they would get mad about it?

You should probably bring this up to your employees, and gauge their response, rather than ask people not affiliated with your company.
If you plan on selling trains and use the funds for advertising and undercutting the competition in product price you'll get to 9* mor easily. Your employees should be more open to that proposition. Any other approach to this will hurt your company imo
Personally, I think any director that sells trains really doesn't care about keeping employees or helping them get better work stats which helps your company
Whoever trains get sold to is not loyal to your company
Selling trains risks alienating the employees you have
If you sell trains, you get some cash in your pocket and that player will leave once they have no more need for your trains, while your loyal employees work stats will go up slower, so won't help your company as much than if they were each trained

I never sell trains, and have kept a loyal employee base for a long time now. i will always train them in their weakest stat or the stat of their choice, no problem with that at all.
Don’t sell trains. Your employees work with you and the least you can show them is gratitude in the form of giving them the trains they worked with you to gain for the company.

I used to do month to month, one month of rotational trains and one month of selling. It also depends on how many people want to pay for trains as well if you need to set up a schedule.
Honestly, if you bought a company and can’t afford to give your employees the trains they earned, then you bought before you should have. You either can afford to run a company ir you should stay an employee. Making employees pay for something they’ve earned is just… wow… it’s like directors expecting employees to give them a part of what they earn as an employee. Predatory. Selfish. And shitty. People do it. They suck! Find a better job than one that is run by a director who takes advantage of you.
