Networth and karma for sure is the ones you should focus on.
Really pick one dex or def and forget about it train the others
Balanced is good but you can be a dex whore if you want
Its up to you and how you want to play. if you can't do damage or land hits (strength, speed) your account is pretty much worthless from a competitive standpoint other than yielding nothing but stalemates if you excel in one or both of the other stats. Ideally you want high Strength and Speed, then decide whether you want to try and tank hits (defense) or not get hit (dex).
It’s not quite as important at lower stat ranges, but once you get to the point of unlocking specialty gyms there are two popular stat ratios that allow you to juggle two specialty gyms simultaneously. You can see the specifics of these stat ratios at the link below. Could give you something to work towards if you decide on which one to shoot for.

Personally, I got each of my stats up to 1m each, and then started leaning into DEX.
Got my DEX up to 10m, then focused on strength followed by speed.
Get my DEX up to another target goal, rinse and repeat.

Check your attack logs. If you're not hitting, work on speed. If you're not hitting hard, strength.
If you're getting mugged a lot (#bazaarlife), up your dex until you can start seeing who mugs you - although honestly getting better at hiding your money is a better option with mugs bc most mugs are from high level players using scripted targeting lists. It takes 4 seconds to deposit cash assuming you don't have to refresh the deposit screen, in which case it takes 10 (incoming hits usually take about 20 seconds since they gotta refresh your profile AND load the attack screen). Dex also good for stealthing if you want to go for the mug life. A lot of players ignore dex, but its key to stealth (incoming and outgoing).
If you don't want ppl to damage you work on your defense (primarily if you're in a warring faction getting targeted a lot). Although if your speed and strength aren't high enough for your attacks to one hit kill, you should also up your defense so you take less damage from return hits.
On that note, increasing your 5th stat (life) is helpful for taking damage on attacks bc you can take more hits if you habe more health. Note this only helps if you're attacking targets in your stay range. Heavy hitters can still 1 hit you lol
Your 6th stat (wealth) is key to all of it however, since without money you can't gain stats effectively. So make that money and for ched's sake HIDE IT.
Are you playing Torn on dial up or something?
The 4 seconds is from How to become mugger, do mugger make money? [cake]
I verified this with my own logs. Discovered an additional 6 seconds if I have to refresh a cached page due to this bug.
The average incoming mug of 10 to 20 seconds is from my own logs. Your experience with incoming mugs may be different.
I haven't ever hospital camped multiple people on different browser windows like I imagine professional muggers do, but during ranked war I hospital camped someone I expected to med out (which they did) and I was able to snipe them but had to refresh the page to get the attack button active, at which point the attack page then had to load. So that's not immediate or anything but I still got em.
Haven't had any luck with camping the attack page itself, but that's another option. However, if you're watching multiple people at once, the attack page will refresh for all of them with the current attack once you initiate it, so I don't typically do that.
