This tutorial attempts to explain hustling for screen reader users. It is not a replacement for an extensive explanation of mechanics and techniques.
Please see Emforus's [Crimes 2.0] Hustling: An In-Depth Guide | Tutorials & Guides … for a more detailed tutorial.
I'm only making these tutorials upon request, so if you are having trouble understanding a crime, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Note: I divided this into four sections, indicated by level 3 headings for easier navigation.
Getting Started
In the main crime, there are 7 buttons. Gather, 4 games, the pickpocket, and the shill.
Button 1 reads out "Gather, 4 nerve button"
This button will attempt to gather an audience, you will need to gather an audience to start the crime.
Arrowing up from the gather button will read out information about the audience.
This will read out "AudienceNo audience" by default.
Once you have gathered an audience, it will read out something like "Member 4 attention 0 suspicion 0 wealth 4".
Member tells you how many audience members you have currently.
Attention tells you how many, if any, of the audience members are interested in the game. This will always be 0, until you demo a game.
Suspicion tells you how many, if any, audience members are getting suspicious. Suspicious members are less likely to place bets and more likely to walk away.
Wealth tells you how much, if any, wealth is available. Audience members may still place bets even if wealth is 0, but the amount will be much less.
You will need to check this section after each action make in the games, as the audience changes often with each interaction.
The Games
The next 4 buttons allow you to demo 1 of 4 games.
Until you have an audience, these will read out "There's no audience".
Once you have gathered an audience, they will read out "Demo, 2 nerve".
If you arrow up from the demo buttons, the game and some information about that game will be read out. For example:
Cornhole Technique: 7 out of 7 $0
This tells you the name of the game, your current technique, and the total amount of the audience bets.
The games are Cornhole, Snail Racing, Find the Lady, and Shell Game.
Once you demo a game, go back to the gather button and arrow up to see if any of the audience members are interested, indicated by attention.
Also note the wealth, as audience members with no or little wealth will not be very profitable.
Playing the Game
When you demo a game, a new set of buttons will be available. they are:
Lose, 2 nerve
Win, 2 nerve
After you choose "win or lose", check back on the audience to make sure they have not left and note if their attention/suspicion/wealth has changed.
Also, keep a check on the bet amount.
In this example, I chose to "lose", so the bet amount has changed from $0 to
$1670
Cornhole Technique: 7 out of 7 $1,670
So, if I choose "loose" again, I will lose this amount. If I choose "win", I will win this amount.
Be sure to have plenty of nerve when you begin, the audience members will leave after a couple of minutes, forcing you to lose progress and start over.
You cannot play the games unless you have enough cash on hand to cover the bets, in case you lose.
Sometimes audience members will leave or stop betting, so be sure to read the actual guide linked at the top of this post for guidance.
Extras - The pickpocket and shill
The last two buttons are the pickpocket and shill.
They are not necessary but can help you get more $$.
They will also disappear after a time, so again you will need to keep a check on the audience.
Until you gather an audience, they will read out "Audience No audience".
Once you have an audience, they will read:
Pickpocket Recruit, 4 nerve
Shill Recruit, 4 nerve
After you recruit, the button will change to "No money to collect"
Once you start placing bets and the pickpocket and shill have had a chance to make some money you can arrow up from the 'collect' button to find out how much money they currently have to be collected:
Shill$100 Collect, 2 nerve
Pickpocket$0 Collect, 2 nerve
