High Resource Usage

I can't believe I'm saying this about a browser game, but the high resource usage is getting unbearable.

How does sitting on the crimes page - doing nothing - use 7% of a i9-9900k, 16% of a 2080 TI's GPU, and a 'Very High' amount of power?

(this line is just Torn, other Firefox processes are on their own lines separate from this)

This kick up to nearly 30% when I simply choose a disposal method.  The animations stutter, even the stretch-in and -out of the crime result is jerky.

Spin wheel might as well be a spin cube.  Slots are stuttery at best, we're talking CounterStrike: PowerPoint amounts of stutter.

Cloud movement on the travel screen is jumping.  I tried recording this and reporting it before but the ticket was closed because "it looks fine" - I can assure you that none of this is "fine."

I've closed and reopened the tab, Firefox as a whole, reboot, clear cache - no matter what I try it's immediately like this, it's not something that comes about with time.

Any ideas?

I'm de-Googling my life so I switched off Chrome a month or so ago at home, I'd rather not run a separate browser for one thing - but to answer your question, it always ran fine in Chrome.

It's very probable it's a Firefox thing.  Is there anything I can look at in the debug tools and stuff to confirm if it's chat or something else?

I'm having a similar issue. Currently using Chrome but used to use Firefox, same issue there.

From what I can tell it's when there's an animation like while traveling there's the airplane and clouds animation.

I came looking for a post in B&I in the hope that someone else was experiencing what i am,, guess i found it! and im not alone.

using firefox currently. cleared cache etc,, but past week ive seen drastic decrease in performance. kind of like when chat 2 was first released.. closing and restarting browser works for like 2mins, then fires back to piss pour preformance... yes torntools and the rest I have disabled.. Overall feeling something has changed recently.. 

Nothing different at my end, I thought we were past all this... though not many people commenting about it so only seems to be affecting a very small number of ppl...

I have the same issue. Specifically for the cloud movement on travel page/ On latest version of Google Chrome (Version 130.0.6723.70). I only have one tab opened during the time of screenshot.
