Is there any info on what happens on the torn birthday, or is it just like any other day and nothing really happens?

The torn logo will be made out of cake and if you click on the individual letters you will get bonus energy, nerve, happiness and health depending on which letter you pick. Here's the wiki link for more detailed info.
In the patch notes, Chedburn was working on a "20th anniversary project", so MAYBE there is a chance we get something special in addition to the extra energy, nerve, and life this year.
