Does anyone know when the missions are going to be upgraded? As they are getting repetitive.

When it becomes a priority, so after crimes 2.0, possibly drugs 2.0 and maybe even travelling 2.0 and no idea what else.
As the next mission-giver (Amanda) seems to be strongly related to drug production (and production in general), it would make sense to release her after Drugs 2.0 gets implemented (and - hopefully - after main kinks of it get worked out).
However, as there are no signs of anyone currently working on Drugs 2.0 (nor signs Crimes 2.0 being close to completion), I wouldn't expect Amanda's release to happen within the next 2 years.
