WELL Hello STALKER

as the A Life spawning shenanigans being borked have turned 2 into cod mp in the wasteland I have decided to go back to try GAMMA again, and it looks SO f**kING GOOD my god (there's also 444 mods now lmao)

I thought there may be some new stalkers here also saddened at the current state of affairs (and optimization) who would still like to get that anomalous fix so

well what is this shit I hear you say

So basically, a mod called Call of Chernobyl which (in short) created its own map that included all the areas from all 3 of the games.

This was basically a sandbox map where ppl began modding into that mod to create a whole new experience with the massive map, but no Vanilla game story.

Then, someone made another mod for Call of Pripyat called Misery, which basically made Call of Pripyat hardcore and added a bunch of features.

The idea was to combine these two mods to create a whole new game.

Over the years the God Baby was born called Anomaly, which is these two mods combined to make one new game that anyone can download for free without owning any of the games.

GAMMA is collection of specifically picked mods for Anomaly creating a whole different experiences. (because STALKER community is insane and basically built a new game to be modded)

Long story short, Anomaly is Call of Prip and Misery combined to make basically a new game. And GAMMA is a modpack for Anomaly basically modding the new game.

well hades that's all well and good but what does it actually encompass I hear you say

G.A.M.M.A. aims at providing a balanced survival, scavenging, cooking, crafting and repairing focused experience with a long progression and smooth gameplay.

For people accustomed to Skyrim modding, G.A.M.M.A. is basically Wabbajack remade from scratch in PowerShell + a modlist of 200+ addons and its own developed modular add-ons for STALKER Anomaly.

This modpack is 100% copyright free since it doesn’t redistribute any copyrighted content developed by other modders. Indeed, G.A.M.M.A. downloads every add-on directly from moddb or github, and installs them automatically and in the correct order in a Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) instance. You will thus directly support modders by installing G.A.M.M.A.

G.A.M.M.A. is easy to use, since by simply executing 3 scripts and following basic instructions, you’ll find on your desktop the G.A.M.M.A. icon which will launch a MO2 instance directly linked to your STALKER Anomaly folder.

From there, you will find every add-on installed and be able to deactivate the ones you don’t like, or add new add-ons. This is especially easy since all add-ons used in G.A.M.M.A. are separated by their type, i.e. Audio, Gameplay, Gunplay, etc.

the installation may sound intimidating but I assure you it is quite the opposite

there's even a souls like mode where when you die a random stalker takes you to the nearest fire and you can go try and get your shit back

or like an all out war mode if that tickles your fancy
