I was thinking, there are many players who do not use discord or have no intent on getting discord for Torn, there are also times when players are urgently needed to be online e.g. Wars, meetings, events, etc.
Perhaps the faction system could have a Ping button that sends a notification to all faction members saying "Your presence is requested by YOUR_FACTION_HERE"
The leader of the faction can assign the button usage to any role or all roles, depending on whether they want chaos or order in the faction.
The usage limits of the ping button can be dependent on the faction rank/respect and as the faction grows in rank/respect they can also get a raised limit.
Will be highly beneficial for wars and players who tend to miss out due to not knowing, can easily see the notification and then login.
This can be likened to trains in companies, in terms of usage limits.
