Hey,
Hoping someone can answer this one for me, given the value of points was nerfed in the last 6 months, going from roughly 45,000 to 37,000 (roughly 18% decrease), how come the value of the stocks has infact gone up?
I'm not very well versed in how stock markets actually work so there might be a simple explanation for this, but I can't see why the value would maintain if the output value has been reduced? It's had a few dips, but ultimately has risen still since the point value got permanently slashed.

The Torn stocks are no longer linked to what happens in Torn and haven't been since stocks 2.0 or 3.0? They are linked to outside, real world stocks so the dip in points in Torn won't effect the stock block.

That explains that then, thank you
They’re definitely not linked to real world stocks.
Perhaps that was the wrong word. They are based on real world stocks of the same type, per the Stocks 3.0 announcement.

They are not linked to outside, real world stocks, at least not in a manner that would be even remotely discernible & thus it's effectively refutable.
Other than that, agree with the post.
I sold it before the points drop and im not tempted to buy it again for a good while
