I agree, once off topic gets kicking again it'll be great, but because it's so anemic it'll take conscious effort to kick start it back up, or just a lot of time.

I live in Oldham near manchester. Plenty of people near me play the game. There will be other players in gosport playing the game.

Why are you so mean? :(  I'm from Cambridge and actually really really posh, had a full blown squirrel choir on Christ's Pieces and a nice squirrel home there too. Thanks.

Born in Norfolk, I get shares in web footed jokes issued with my passport.

You've a world class cathedral and the pompei of the fens nearby too right?

I was getting my saxon confused, I meant this geezer

In 1070 the army of William the Conqueror was besieging the Isle of Ely. For four years, Hereward and his warriors had been holding out against the Normans, refusing to yield the last free English territory to the invaders. The Normans had tried everything, and were at a loss to find a way to conquer the Isle.

Oi, well met, gov’na!

What’s this endless faff about strangers sniffin’ about to see if they’re neighbors or not?

Honestly, you lot would be better off never meeting, lest you catch whatever daft ailment makes ‘em think minglin’ with the likes of you is a grand idea!

Sheikh_Nutti [2892903]

Ye. Hereward the Wake. Killed his own horse to stop the Normans knowing the way across the fens to Ely. All bullshit tbf. No real contemporary record of him. Tourist story round here.
