Working on the 10k customer merit now. I've read the guides. They focus, for good reason, on increasing customers. They don't mention if they decrease overtime if your store is closed or if your inventory lays empty for too long. Leaves me wondering if that is true or not. Is it?

After acquiring the merit, It seems that total customers does not increase over time. I have not tested this rigorously, though.
