Notalic [2394830]

Here's a sonnet I wrote a while ago, not my best work and maybe a little cheesy but I think its worth sharing here.

Hope you guys like it!

There are too many things to do today

Must we waste time dreaming of tomorrow?

In the end, we all have taxes to pay

Taxes upon the lives we borrow

As the world grows smaller, the day grows long

Yet time for reflection, we struggle to find

Watching it pass as though nothing is wrong

The weight of the world to our hearts we bind

Caught up in the worries and works of the tide

Lamenting a freedom that never was lost

The weary will find it convenient to hide

Rather than welcome a dream at its cost

Time spent on dreaming is never a waste

But the will to act cannot be replaced
