Display cases (and now bazaars after item market 2.0) are a stop gap measure to hold bulk items since the main inventory spaghetti code parses stacks of items indivdually instead as a stack. Anything over 25k items in main inventory and you start getting big red error messages that your account could be suspended if you don't move items out of your main inventory.

I would not be able to, actually. 😢 There is a workaround where I could hold all my stuff in my inventory, but it would be bug abuse and I'd probably get fedded if I attempted it, not to mention the warning (or insta fed?) for causing a server load crisis. Plus trusting my friends to actually help me achieve it, plus the warnings THEY would get for attempting to help me bypass the inventory max. And then of course I could never buy items again, or receive them, or play the game. Oof.
The anxiety this topic is causing is not enjoyable and I am half tempted to blow today's profits on bounties 🤔
