When is the bazaar api going to be available again? Trying to listed everything manually on a bazaar is more time consuming than my irl job. 

Bazaar script needs to be sorted with this market tax in action.

BAZAAR DIRECTORY

 

Everyone knows it can be time-consuming to advertise your Bazaar, and constant self-promotion is needed to ensure you receive a steady stream of customers. However, in the near future some of this work will be done for you through a brand new feature: the Bazaar Directory.

 

This page, which is currently under development, will act as a hub showcasing an array of Bazaars worth visiting for various reasons. Torn’s plans for this feature aren’t finalised yet, but the intention is that the Bazaars listed on the directory page will be determined by two things: statistics and your personal preferences.

 

At the top of the page will be your favorited Bazaars, where a selection of links to your preferred traders can be saved. Bazaars will be favorited by clicking a simple star on the Bazaar page to favorite or unfavorite them. These preferences will also be used to populate some of the categories within the stat-ranked section of the Bazaar directory.

 

An incredibly limited version of this already exists on the newspaper page, where the top five bazaars with the most weekly customers are listed. When the Bazaar Directory is released, the top-grossing bazaars of the week will also be shown, with the top ten for both categories displayed prominently. These general categories will likely be used mostly for bragging rights, although we expect any listed traders to receive a huge uptick in visits to their already busy Bazaars.

 

Alongside these categories, we’ll showcase the most popular Bazaars according to how many favorites they’ve received overall, and another column, Trending Bazaars, displaying a list of new traders with the most favorites gained this week. Other categories are also under discussion, with the potential to add anything the community feels would be helpful, provided the page doesn’t feel too cluttered. One final note is that closed Bazaars will still be displayed on this page, albeit in a dulled manner that makes it clear they are not currently open.

 

Below all of this, we also intend to advertise the top-performing specialty bazaars according to their most commonly sold items. This should be possible for both individual items, such as Xanax, Donator Packs, etc., and broader categories, such as Drugs and Materials, pending the directory's final design. Regardless, this feature will help traders make a name for themselves as specialists in particular products or industries, whether crime items, consumables, or Advanced Weapons and Armor.

 

The removal of Bazaar listings from the Item Market was a blow to the trading community, and some people even demanded a refund of their 250 points in response. However, while the Item Market only ever rewarded the top three cheapest sellers, the Bazaar Directory is a more dynamic feature, advertising players who hustle their way to the top, are building a name for themselves, or have identified a trading niche that serves the community. No timeframe has been set for the release of the Bazaar Directory, but we hope to bring it to you Soon™.
